In anticipation of the upcoming Baltimore Street Access Project, and understanding how the construction could temporarily disrupt your normal course of business, we want to provide each downtown business the opportunity to modernize your online business platform and marketing strategies.

In collaboration with the Downtown Development Commission and The Western Maryland IT Center of Excellence, we will be offering a FREE series of VIRTUAL COURSES to assist all of our downtown businesses with developing their online presence through website and social media platforms.

Each virtual course has been designed to accommodate a multitude of skill sets and will be beneficial for users with all ranges of technological background and literacy. The curriculum will cover items such as:

  • Developing and maintaining a website
  • Creating social media accounts and engaging with your target market
  • Learning current best practices
  • And MANY others!

The Reimagine Your Downtown Business courses are available at NO COST for any business located within the City of Cumberland’s Special Taxing District (see here). The program is funded 100% by The Western Maryland IT Center of Excellence and the Center’s 2021 EARN Grant.
